Bishop: The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
Response: And also with you
Bishop: Dear friends, God is with us. We meet in the presence of God who knows our needs, hears our cries, feels our pain, and heals our wounds. As we connect here today with open hearts, the presence of Christ surrounds and affirms us. We are one in this Divine embrace of Spirit.
As we open our hearts for worship, let us take a moment and reflect on those things we have said and done which we are proud of, and offer to God the things in our life that we have said and done that we regret.
All: Most merciful God, Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, we confess that we have sinned in thought, word and deed. We have not loved you with our whole heart. We have not loved our neighbours as ourselves. In your mercy forgive what we have been, help us to amend what we are, and direct what we shall be; that we may act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with you, our God. Amen.
May the God of love and power forgive you and free you from your sins, heal and strengthen you in all goodness and raise you to new life in Christ our Lord. Amen.
Collect of the Day
Psalm 138 (said responsively)
138:1 I give you thanks, O LORD, with my whole heart; before the gods I sing your praise;
138:2 I bow down toward your holy temple and give thanks to your name for your steadfast love and your faithfulness; for you have exalted your name and your word above everything.
138:3 On the day I called, you answered me, you increased my strength of soul.
138:4 All the kings of the earth shall praise you, O LORD, for they have heard the words of your mouth.
138:5 They shall sing of the ways of the LORD, for great is the glory of the LORD.
138:6 For though the LORD is high, he regards the lowly; but the haughty he perceives from far away.
138:7 Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you preserve me against the wrath of my enemies; you stretch out your hand, and your right hand delivers me.
138:8 The LORD will fulfill his purpose for me; your steadfast love, O LORD, endures forever. Do not forsake the work of your hands.
The Gospel
The Lord be with you
All: And also with you
The holy gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ according to Luke
All: Glory to you Lord Jesus Christ
Luke 10:38-42
He was praying in a certain place, and after he had finished, one of his disciples said to him, "Lord, teach us to pray, as John taught his disciples."
He said to them, "When you pray, say: Father, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come. Give us each day our daily bread. And forgive us our sins, for we ourselves forgive everyone indebted to us. And do not bring us to the time of trial."
And he said to them, "Suppose one of you has a friend, and you go to him at midnight and say to him, 'Friend, lend me three loaves of bread; for a friend of mine has arrived, and I have nothing to set before him.'
And he answers from within, 'Do not bother me; the door has already been locked, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot get up and give you anything.'
I tell you, even though he will not get up and give him anything because he is his friend, at least because of his persistence he will get up and give him whatever he needs.
"So I say to you, Ask, and it will be given you; search, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened for you.
For everyone who asks receives, and everyone who searches finds, and for everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.
Is there anyone among you who, if your child asks for a fish, will give a snake instead of a fish?
Or if the child asks for an egg, will give a scorpion?
If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!"This is the gospel of Christ
All: Praise to you Lord Jesus Christ

Concluding Prayers and Comments
Bishop: Linked by spirit, voice, and intention, we are in communion with each other and all with the Creator. We are wrapped in the love of God, all one in spirit, beyond the
limits of time and space.Around the world at this very moment countless prayers are
being lifted, songs of praise are being offered, bread and wine is being blessed to nurture Creator’s dear children.United in Christ, we lift our prayers and praise to God and give thanks that we too are spiritually fed in this time of worship.
All: We are all one; all fashioned by the love of God; all gifted by God’s grace; all embraced together by God’s love. Today as we connect with that constant, unbounded presence, may our lives be filled with joy and may the blessings that we receive in this sacred connection move us to be blessings in the world.
May we be the hands of Christ assisting one another.
May we be the voice of Christ, speaking up against injustice and unloving actions.
May we be the heart of Christ, reaching out with compassion and healing.
May be have the understanding of Christ, and see all as our brother and sister, and this planet as a sacred and holy world.
And, may the Holy Spirit guide us and empower us this day to accomplish our purpose with Love and abundant joy. Amen.
The Lord’s Prayer
And now, as our Saviour Christ has taught us let us pray together:
Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done,
on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive those who trespass against us,
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory,
For ever and ever. Amen
BenedictionAnnouncementsThanks for joining us and have a great week!
